MyDreamCollege

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

This policy explains what information MyDreamCollege (mydreamcollege.app) handles and how we handle it.

No account needed

You can browse, search and view colleges without creating an account or giving us your name, email address or any personal details.

Information stored on your device

The colleges you save, your notes, and your language choice are stored only in your browser on your device. They are not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Usage statistics

We collect basic, aggregate statistics such as page visits and views to understand how the site is used. This does not identify you personally.

Links to other websites

College pages link to external websites such as US News, Google Maps and the colleges' own sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

Questions

If you have questions about this policy, email us at contact@mydreamcollege.app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes. The latest version will always be posted here.

My Dream College iPhone app

The My Dream College app for iPhone is published by Verdant Vista LLC (“we”, “us”). This section explains how the app handles information.

The short version. The app does not collect, share or sell any personal information. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone.

Information you enter. Colleges you save, the order you put them in, your notes, and the SAT, ACT and GPA you enter in My Profile are stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage. We never receive this information, and it isn’t sent to any server. Deleting the app removes it.

Free college profiles. To keep track of which free college profiles you’ve opened, the app saves a short list of college identifiers in your device’s Keychain. This list contains no personal information and stays on your device. It may remain after the app is deleted, so that reinstalling doesn’t reset the free limit.

Purchases. The optional “2026 Edition” purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We don’t receive your name, payment details or Apple ID; the app only checks with Apple whether you own the purchase. See Apple’s Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

What the app does not access. The app does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

Links to other websites. The app can open websites you choose to visit, such as a college’s own website, Google Maps for an address, or a rankings page. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don’t control.

College data. The admissions data in the app comes from colleges’ publicly available Common Data Set reports and is included with the app. Viewing it involves no information about you.

Children. The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes. If we change how the app handles information, we’ll update this section and the date above.
